1.1. The original must contain notarized certification of the declarant’s signature.
2. Steps for legalization of the document and applicable fees:
2.1. Company fee for translation of the document.
2.2. State fee for the Ministry of Justice.
2.3. Company fee for submitting the document to the Ministry of Justice.
2.4. State fee for the Directorate "Consular Relations" at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
2.5. Company fee for submitting the document to the Directorate "Consular Relations" at the MFA.
Deadline for executing the order:
Translation – 48 hours (standard order); 24 hours (quick order); same day (express order)
Ministry of Justice – 4 business days

Document issued in a foreign country
1. Requirements for the document’s format:
1.1. With an apostille from countries that are parties to the Hague Convention (see question: "Which countries are members of the Hague Convention?").
1.2. If the document is from a country that is not a member of the Hague Convention and does not have a bilateral agreement with Bulgaria, it must be issued in original form, bearing the original stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and a stamp from the Bulgarian Embassy in the same country.
1.3. For North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, and other countries with which Bulgaria has bilateral agreements, the document may be legalized without an apostille (see question: "List of countries with which Bulgaria has signed a bilateral agreement").
