How to legalize a Bulgarian educational document?
Educational documents are Diplomas and Higher Education Applications, Diplomas of Secondary Education, Certificate for Enrollment, Certificate for Graduation, Academic Transcript and many other documents related to the degrees of the Bulgarian education system. These types of documents are issued by educational institutions that are accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science (see question: Which are the higher education institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science?).
Documents can be legalized as an original or a notarized copy. Legalization is carried out by the National Center for Information and Documentation, and the translation is certified by the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
There are also educational documents that are issued by institutions that are not accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science. Such documents may be a Certificate of Qualification, a Language Certificate, etc.
This type of educational documents is legalized as a notarized copy by the Ministry of Justice and the translation is certified by the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Further information can be found in the questions for each document.
