Which Bulgarian institutions can affix an Apostille?
The administrations that can affix the Apostille in the Republic of Bulgaria are the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the regional administrations in the Republic of Bulgaria, NACID and the Ministry of Justice.
Before the Apostille is affixed, an additional certification of the document might be necessary prior to legalisation. Once all the necessary certifications have been affixed, the document should next be translated, edited and formatted according to the requirements for the preparation of an official translation and certified by the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After obtaining all the necessary certification, the document can be used and is fully valid before all institutions of the respective country.
