Quality process management - questions and answers

Traceability and control under ISO 17100

Traceability is a central principle in the quality management of written translation. An order moves through connected stages for assessment, translator selection, terminology work, revision and technical checking, so responsibilities and versions remain clearly distinguished. ISO 17100 sets requirements for these processes, professional competencies and the resources used. La Fit Trans’s certificate of conformity with ISO 17100:2015-05+Amd1:2017-08 is valid until 23 May 2031. A centralised information system links processing with control.
