Certified written translations from Bulgarian into a foreign language are translations performed by a sworn translator and certified by the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Certified written translations from a foreign language into Bulgarian are translations performed by a sworn translator and certified by a Bulgarian notary.
A sworn translator (certified) is a natural person authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to translate documents and other papers. Every sworn translator is included in the list of natural persons who translate documents and other papers from Bulgarian into a foreign language and from a foreign language into Bulgarian on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, maintained by the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the basis of Art. 18, para. 1 of the PLZPDDK
