Certified Translation

The exact format depends on the document, country and receiving organisation. One case may need only an officially prepared translation, while another also requires notarisation of the translator’s signature, apostille or legalisation of the source document.

Certification concerns how the translation is prepared and authenticated; it does not alter the legal status of the source document. Translation and procedures applied to the original are therefore assessed separately and arranged in the correct order.

The service begins with a review of the document, language pair, intended use and the receiving organisation’s requirements. After confirmation, the work is assigned to a suitable translator, while names, dates, numbers, stamps and attachments are checked before the official layout is completed.

An original or official copy is collected only when the relevant certification or administrative procedure requires it. Collection and return can be arranged through an office or by courier.

Common documents include civil-status certificates, diplomas and academic records, criminal-record certificates, powers of attorney, declarations, company documents, contracts, medical records and bank statements.
