Translations from and into Russian

Russian translations for official and business documents

Russian documents are used in Bulgaria for family, educational, employment, property and business matters, while Bulgarian documents are translated into Russian for a specific recipient. La Fit Trans combines translation, editorial review and the required certified format.

The closeness of the two Slavic languages does not erase differences in legal and administrative vocabulary. Names, patronymics, dates, numbers, seals and register designations are checked across every page and attachment.

Russian spelling, names and administrative terminology

Bulgarian and Russian both use Cyrillic, but their alphabets, spelling and administrative terminology are not interchangeable. Distinctive Russian spelling, patronymics, abbreviations and established names of authorities and positions require consistent treatment from the source document.

A person’s name is checked against the passport and other documents used in the same procedure. The original Russian designation may remain beside the translation when it identifies a form, register or institution precisely.

Russian documents in both translation directions

From Russian into Bulgarian

Russian birth, marriage and death certificates, criminal-record certificates, diplomas and company-register extracts contain different particulars and do not fit one generic format.

The Bulgarian translation distinguishes the Russian heading, issuing body and registration fields. A name and patronymic are checked against the supplied passport without replacing the Russian institution with an invented Bulgarian counterpart.

From Bulgarian into Russian

For a Bulgarian birth record, diploma, criminal-record certificate, power of attorney or contract, the Russian text preserves the function of the original document and the hierarchy of its fields.

Bulgarian authorities and legal forms are explained clearly but are not renamed as Russian institutions. Established spelling from a passport, earlier translation or company register remains authoritative throughout the set.

Personal, academic and company documents from Russia

Russian birth, marriage and death certificates are issued by civil-registration authorities. Other personal papers include address and criminal-record certificates, notarial acts and powers of attorney, while academic sets contain school certificates, diplomas and supplements listing subjects, hours and grades.

Contracts, resolutions, banking papers and company powers of attorney are often accompanied by an extract from Russia's state register of legal entities. The company name, legal form, registration number and tax identifiers are distinguished according to their role in the particular document.

Certified formatting of a Russian translation

For a Russian form, the certified translation follows the order of fields, record numbers, place of issue, signatures, seals and visible electronic certifications. It is linked to the original or admissible copy in the manner accepted by the recipient.

Russian designations for notarial certification, electronic signature or official extract are not treated mechanically as a Bulgarian certification. The format accepted by the specific authority applies, while the document’s origin remains clearly identifiable.

Documents between Bulgaria and Russia without unnecessary legalisation

The bilateral treaty exempts documents issued by the designated competent authorities in Bulgaria and Russia from further legalisation. The current guidance of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the documents must bear an original seal.

Translation, certification of the translation and copy requirements remain separate questions. Private documents, electronic extracts, documents outside the treaty and documents for a third country are prepared according to the issuing and receiving authorities’ requirements.

Assessment of a Russian document from a scan

The preliminary review covers the front and reverse of the Russian form, attachments, tables, seals and electronic codes. A legible PDF or complete set of images reveals which parts require translation and which designations should remain visible.

The quotation separates language work, editing, certified copies, delivery and external administrative fees. A physical original enters the process later only when the selected certification or receiving authority requires it.

Aligning names, attachments and register data

A Russian name may appear with a patronymic, initials, distinctive spelling or an established Latin transliteration. When birth, marriage and death records belong to one procedure, former surnames, places and dates are treated as connected data.

A diploma supplement is the primary source for the programme, subjects and grades. For company work, the register extract is checked against contracts and powers of attorney so that the legal form, address, representative and identifiers remain consistent.

Translation and preparation of a Russian document

The work takes account of the document’s origin and the form in which it will be presented. Official documents between Bulgaria and Russia are considered under the bilateral regime, while private documents, electronic extracts and documents for third countries follow their own requirements.

La Fit Trans handles the Russian translation, editorial cross-check, applicable certification and delivery of the finished copies. A quotation for the specific document lists the translation price, external fees and any selected additional services separately.

Russian documents: names, registers and certification

Which Russian documents are translated most often?

Common documents include birth, marriage and death certificates, criminal-record certificates, diplomas, transcripts, powers of attorney, contracts and company-register extracts. The document type and recipient determine the format.

How are Russian names and patronymics rendered?

Spelling is checked against the passport and other official documents used in the procedure. Patronymics, initials, distinctive spelling and any established Latin transliteration remain consistent throughout the set.

Is an Apostille required between Bulgaria and Russia?

Not for documents from competent authorities that fall within the bilateral treaty and bear an original seal. Private documents, electronic extracts and use in a third country require a separate check.

Which company details require particular care in translation?

Company-register extracts distinguish the registered name, legal form, address, representative, registration number and tax identifiers. Each element is rendered according to its function in the document.

What does a certified translation of a Russian document include?

It reproduces headings, fields, signatures, seals and visible certifications and is linked to the supplied document under the applicable procedure. The receiving authority determines the accepted format and number of copies.

Is an electronic file sufficient for a quotation?

A legible PDF or clear photographs of every page are usually sufficient to assess volume, timing and layout. If certification or the procedure requires a physical original, it is treated as a separate later stage.

A quotation for the Russian document

Price is based on the actual volume, direction, specialised terminology, requested copies and applicable certification. Turnaround also reflects the need to reconcile names, tables or attachments rather than relying on page count alone.

La Fit Trans serves orders remotely and through its offices. The preliminary electronic review lets the quotation state clearly what the service covers, when an original is needed and how the completed documents will be delivered.
