Document Issued in a Foreign Country

1. Document Formatting Requirements

1.1. With an apostille from a Hague Convention member country (see question "Which countries are members of the Hague Convention?").

1.2. If the document originates from a country that is not a Hague Convention member and does not have a bilateral agreement with Bulgaria, it must be issued as an original bearing the original stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and certified by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the same country.

1.3. For North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, and other countries with which Bulgaria has bilateral agreements, the document may be legalized without an apostille (see question "List of countries with which Bulgaria has signed bilateral agreements").
