Employment Agency UP-2 and UP-3 Certificate Translation

UP-2 records the insurable income on which Bulgarian social-insurance contributions were paid or due, while UP-3 certifies insurance service. The Employment Agency issues these records for former employees where it was the relevant insurer and holds the necessary payroll or personnel records. They are not certificates of unemployment registration and do not merely confirm receipt of unemployment benefits.

The translation may be used by a foreign pension, social-security, tax or labour authority, an employer, a court or another official recipient. The target-language title explains the Bulgarian form without presenting it as an identical foreign instrument where no exact equivalent exists.

UP-2 requires close control of the person and insurer, covered period, position, insurable or accrued income, currency and monthly amounts in its tables. UP-3 focuses on start and end dates, position, statutory and actual working time, length of insurance service, labour category and any relevant overtime.

The file is identified as UP-2, UP-3 or a set containing both forms before terminology is fixed. Personal names are aligned with identity records or an established target-language spelling, while periods, months, hours, figures and totals are checked between the heading and the tables.
