Translation of an Information Services AD certificate concerning company capital

Certificates bearing this title are usually found in older Bulgarian corporate files. Information Services AD maintained the technical environment and software used for electronic commercial registers kept by the courts. Those registers supported searches and certificates concerning registered circumstances, including a company’s capital.

Current certificates are now requested through the Registry Agency under the central Commercial Register framework. An older Information Services AD record nevertheless remains a distinct archival source and is translated with its actual title, date and features. It is not automatically renamed as a modern certificate of current status.

The record may state the company name and legal form, registered office, court and company-file number, registration decisions, amount and currency of registered capital, number and nominal value of quotas or shares, capital amendments and the date to which the information relates. The translation follows the fields actually present, even when they use terminology from an earlier registration system.

Registered, subscribed and paid-up capital are not interchangeable. A certificate stating the capital amount does not by itself prove payment into a capital-raising account, current ownership, beneficial ownership or financial standing. Such facts appear in the translation only when the source expressly records them.

An older certificate may show Information Services AD, a court name, a company-file reference and data from an electronic register. The company provided technical generation and system maintenance, while the registered facts derived from the court company file. This distinction remains visible in the heading, notes, signatures and seals.

English and other target terms follow legal form and function: share capital, registered capital, quota, share, nominal value, company file and court register are selected contextually. Bulgarian abbreviations such as AD, EAD, OOD and EOOD are rendered consistently and are not automatically replaced with a foreign corporate form. The Bulgarian designation may be retained in parentheses.

Certification of the translation concerns the translated text and presentation. Treatment of the source depends on its type, year, signature, seal, destination country and the recipient’s written requirement. An archival certificate, notarised copy and current electronic document may follow different routes.

A certified translation of a legible copy may suffice in one procedure. Another may require a paper original, notarised true copy, signature authentication or further institutional processing. Turnaround depends on language, volume, archival quality, the number of decisions and tables, and difficult seals or handwriting. Company names, file and decision references, capital amounts, currencies, quotas, shares, nominal values and dates receive dedicated numerical control.

Translation time is separate from the time for a new certificate, notarisation, apostille, consular processing or delivery. In a set containing articles, partnership agreement, minutes, current-status certificate, bank letter or share register, terms and figures are compared for consistency.

A legible PDF or clear images of every page reveal the record type, court, company file, entity, capital, tables, decisions, dates, signatures and seals. Non-essential sensitive details may be obscured for initial assessment, while the final translation is produced from the complete legible record.

An electronic file is retained with its visible verification features. An archival paper record is checked for reverse pages, attachments, connecting seals and notarial certifications. This supports an accurate quotation for volume, language, timing, certified copies and delivery.
