Offer Translation

An offer precedes the contract and explains what a company proposes: a product or service, technical scope, quantities, unit and total prices, currency, validity, delivery, payment, warranties and exclusions. Its translation needs to remain persuasive to the recipient while reproducing every figure, condition and commitment accurately.

The service covers commercial, technical and financial offers, proposals for international partners, responses to requests for quotation and tender submissions. When the offer belongs to a larger package, its language is aligned with specifications, annexes, pricing forms and the draft contract without blurring the separate purpose of those documents.

The main proposal may refer to product sheets, technical specifications, catalogues, schedules, pricing tables, general terms and annexes. Translation preserves product and service names, models, item numbers, units, currencies, tax notes, deadlines and exclusions so that the narrative and financial sections do not contradict each other.

Terminology already used by the company or recipient can be followed through a glossary, earlier correspondence or approved materials. Numerical data is checked separately from linguistic revision: unit price, quantity, subtotal, discount, tax base, VAT and total value must remain in the correct columns and rows. In a procurement procedure, bank-financing file, administrative process or another formal submission, the recipient may require a certified translation, signature, seal or a particular presentation format.

Certification connects the source and translation in the requested form; it does not turn the commercial offer into a public record or replace confirmation that the contracting authority or partner accepts that format.

Price reflects the language pair, volume, specialist terminology, deadline and quality of the source files. Tables with many items, text embedded in images, technical drawings, presentation layout and work on a non-editable PDF add different effort beyond translation of the main narrative.

The preliminary assessment separates translation, revision, formatting and any required certification. Repeated product entries and existing language resources are reflected in the actual workload, while a multilingual package is planned so that every technical and pricing section uses the same terminology and version.

Turnaround depends not only on page count but also on table density, technical complexity, number of files, revision and final layout. A short price quotation and a complex proposal with methodology, schedule and annexes require different production plans.

For a tender submission, the exact closing time is a separate control date. The translation schedule allows for terminology alignment, verification of figures, assembly of annexes and a final review of the deliverable so that speed does not displace the integrity of the proposal package.

The assessment identifies the language pair, deadline, price, layout and any need for a certified copy. A physical original matters only where the particular recipient requires it; for standard business translation, the editable working file is normally the most effective source.
