Translation of a certificate issued by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber

The Bulgarian Construction Chamber maintains the Central Professional Register of Builders. Its certificate records the entry of a particular builder and the registered scope of construction works or specialised activities. It is not merely proof of membership in a trade association and does not replace the company’s commercial registration.

The record is used to demonstrate professional registration to clients, main contractors, banks, insurers and foreign partners. In a cross-border project the translation must identify the builder, the exact registered scope and the date to which the information relates.

The certificate may state a six-digit registration number, place and date of issue, the builder’s full name and legal form, registered office, address, representative and Bulgarian UIC. Its defining section lists the group and category of construction works or the specialised construction and installation activities covered by the registration.

A control coupon with its own validity period, limitations, additional certificates or a register visualisation may accompany the certificate. The first group concerns building construction and its associated infrastructure, while other groups distinguish transport, energy, municipal and hydraulic infrastructure and separate construction activities. The translation reproduces only the scope shown in the supplied record.

Certificate number, group, subgroup and category are treated as connected identifiers. Roman numerals, numerical codes and references to Bulgarian construction legislation are not rearranged to imitate a foreign licensing scheme. They are transliterated or explained consistently so that the link to the Bulgarian register remains verifiable.

Terms such as builder, construction project, construction category, construction and installation works, client and control coupon receive contextual equivalents. Company, contractor, construction works, building category and registration certificate cannot be substituted mechanically. Certification of the translation concerns the translated text and its formal presentation. Whether the source requires an original, certified copy, notarisation, apostille or another institutional step depends on the document format, signature and seal, destination country and the recipient’s written rules.

For tender or project documentation, terminology is compared with the builder’s accompanying records. Translation time is separate from the time required for a new coupon, amended registration, notarisation, apostille or delivery.

A legible PDF or clear images of the certificate, reverse side, control coupon and all attachments support an accurate assessment of volume, language, timing and certification format. Non-essential personal details may be obscured for an initial quotation, while final production uses the complete legible set.

Visible verification features, number and date are retained for an electronic record. Connecting seals, signatures and double-sided text are checked on a paper original. This prevents the coupon or part of the registered scope from being omitted from the quotation.
