## One order built around the document’s complete route
Written translation conveys the document’s content, certified translation adds the required authentication of the translation, while Apostille or legalization authenticates the document for official use. These are separate functions and are not interchangeable.
The La Fit Trans team reviews the entire route in advance — from the legibility of the source and language pair to the competent authority, final format and delivery method. Translation therefore remains connected to the procedure it is meant to support.

## Translation, certification, Apostille or legalization
A standard written translation serves informational, personal or internal business use. Submission to an authority, university, employer, bank, court or another organization may require an official or certified translation in a prescribed format.
An Apostille authenticates the origin of certain public documents between countries where the Convention applies. Another route may rely on a treaty exemption or a sequence of governmental and consular certifications. Legalization is therefore determined by the particular document and countries, not by language alone.
Interpreting supports meetings, training, negotiations and events, while specialist translation combines language work with terminology control in law, medicine, engineering, finance and other professional fields.
## Online ordering with a preliminary review
Documents can be assessed from a legible scan, PDF or photograph. The preliminary review brings the language pair, volume, deadline, certifications, external fees and delivery method into one quotation.
After confirmation, the order proceeds through translation, checking, formatting and the agreed administrative steps. When an original is required, receipt and return are arranged through an office or courier.

## Questions about translation services
### What is the difference between translation, certified translation and legalization?
Translation renders the content in another language. Certified translation adds the required authentication of the translation, while legalization or Apostille concerns the official recognition and origin of the document. The recipient determines which elements are required.
### When is an Apostille required?
An Apostille may apply to a public document when the issuing and destination countries are bound by the Hague Convention and no more favourable regime applies. The document type and competent authority must also be checked.
### What is confirmed before price and turnaround are calculated?
The assessment covers the document, language pair, page or word volume, legibility, subject matter, final format, deadline, certifications, authority fees and delivery method.
### Can the entire order be handled online?
Translation and preliminary assessment can often be arranged remotely. Apostille, notarial or consular procedures may require an original or certified copy, which can be received through an office or courier.
### How are completed documents delivered?
Electronic files are delivered online, while paper translations and legalized originals may be collected from an office or sent by courier. The appropriate method depends on the format and the recipient’s requirements.
