Processing a translation and/or legalization order begins with the actual documents and ends with delivery of the agreed result. Orders do not all follow an identical route. The language pair, issuing authority, country of use, recipient, required form, deadline and file format determine the relevant steps. A project coordinator connects the activities and ensures that the same verified information is used throughout the assignment.
The first level is source assessment. The number and legibility of pages, both sides of each document, signatures, stamps, attachments, electronic authentication, tables and specialist terminology are examined. The purpose and the receiving authority’s requirements are clarified. A missing page, unreadable entry or unknown country of submission is identified before work begins because it may change the volume, schedule or administrative route.
The scope and quotation are then prepared. Translation, independent revision, certified copies, an apostille or another applicable legalization service, official fees, copies and delivery are shown as separate components. A translator or team with the appropriate language and subject competence is selected, while a shared terminology framework is prepared for related documents and recurring names.
Language production comprises translation, the translator’s self-check and independent bilingual revision by a second qualified linguist. The coordinator manages files, versions and deadlines, but administrative coordination is not presented as an additional level of linguistic revision.
When certification or legalization forms part of the order, the document is prepared for the applicable regime and the recipient’s written requirement. The review establishes whether an original, certified copy, translator’s signature, notarial act, apostille, consular procedure or an exemption under a treaty or European rule is relevant. Submission to an authority begins only after the required form and document set have been confirmed, and the completed endorsements are checked on return.
Final verification confirms that every agreed service is complete, corrections have been incorporated, pages and attachments form the right set, and names, numbers and dates remain consistent. Digital files and paper copies are delivered through the agreed channel with a clear account of the work performed.
