A certificate from a bar council may confirm registration, professional status or a specific fact concerning a lawyer, trainee lawyer, foreign lawyer or law practice. ## Is an Apostille required in every case?
No. The applicable authentication depends on the legal character of the document, issuer and signature, destination country, any treaty and the receiving authority’s rules. In some cases a suitable translation is enough; in others prior certification, an Apostille or consular legalization may be required. The route is checked before steps or timing are confirmed.
## How is a foreign bar certificate handled for Bulgaria?
