UP-2 is an approved Bulgarian form on which an insurer or its legal successor records insurable earnings month by month. It is primarily connected with proving income for pension purposes. For use outside Bulgaria, the translation must preserve the periods, amounts, currency, stated basis and issuer details, while any authentication depends on the actual receiving authority.
## What does form UP-2 certify?
The certificate records insurable earnings for the months and period identified in it. It is not a certificate of employment or insurance periods and should not be confused with UP-3 or another archive certificate. The translation retains the exact form name and the purpose stated by the issuer.
## Who may issue the certificate?
A UP-2 is normally issued by the employer or other insurer holding the payroll records, or by its legal successor. If an insurer ceased operating without a successor and transferred its records to the Social Security Archive, the corresponding certificate may be requested from Bulgaria's National Social Security Institute. The holder of the records must therefore be identified first.
## When can UP-2 still be requested?
Bulgarian social-security authorities hold electronic data for many periods, yet UP-2 remains a current form. It may be relevant for older periods, missing or disputed records, an international pension case or a foreign authority's express request for income evidence. The receiving authority decides which evidence it accepts; translation does not replace that decision.
## Which original details are reviewed before translation?
We check the person's names and identifiers, the insurer's details, position and period, monthly rows, amounts, currency, legal or administrative basis, reference number, date, signatures, seal and explanatory notes. Every page, continuation sheet and attachment is required. A missing line, illegible amount or inconsistent total is clarified before formatting.
## How are amounts, periods and currency rendered?
Figures are neither recalculated nor standardized at our discretion. The translation preserves the month, year, recorded amount, currency and whether a value appears in figures or words. If the form covers different currencies or a monetary change, each period remains separated exactly as in the source.
## Is an apostille or other authentication always required?
No. A UP-2 may be issued by a public body, municipality, company or another insurer, and foreign recipients apply different rules. A translation alone may suffice, a certified translation may be requested, or a signature may need prior certification followed by authentication. We do not automatically route the document through an employment agency; we check its real issuer, destination and purpose.
## Can a quotation be prepared from an electronic copy?
A legible colour copy of the complete document is normally sufficient for an assessment. For an electronically signed UP-2, customers send the original electronic file rather than an image of its first page. Certification or final submission may require the paper original, a verifiable electronic document or a specially certified copy; this is confirmed before the order.
## How are price and delivery time determined?
