A Bulgarian tax residence certificate is issued by the National Revenue Agency to a Bulgarian-resident individual or legal entity. ## What does a tax residence certificate prove?
It confirms that the named person or entity is treated as resident in Bulgaria for tax purposes. The certificate may identify the applicable treaty, the country in which it will be used and the current or completed tax year. ## Who can receive the certificate?
It may be issued to a Bulgarian-resident individual or legal entity registered with the National Revenue Agency. ## How does a Bulgarian certificate differ from a foreign form?
