La Fit Trans’s implemented quality management system covers more than the checking of a completed translation: it governs the organisation of the service as a whole. When an order is accepted, the client’s requirements, the purpose of the text, the agreed scope, deadline and delivery format are linked to the project. Accountable people and acceptance criteria are defined so that decisions do not depend on isolated conversations or on the memory of a single specialist.
Working records preserve the relationship between source materials, instructions, terminology, current files and the approved delivery version. The coordinator manages tasks and communication, while translators, revisers and other participants have clearly separated roles. The history of clarifications and corrections shows which version is current, what has changed and whether the agreed checks have been completed.
The system also covers the management of professional resources. Language combination, subject-matter competence, experience and performance on earlier projects inform the choice of a suitable specialist. Work quality continues to be reviewed after an assignment has closed, and significant observations are considered when similar work is assigned in the future. Consistently strong performance therefore matters alongside initial qualifications.
When a nonconformity is identified, the system distinguishes between correcting the immediate text and taking action to reduce the chance of the issue recurring. The affected file is reviewed and corrected, the cause is clarified, and an instruction, terminology resource, control step or assignment method is updated where appropriate. The aim is both to complete the particular order correctly and to use the experience to strengthen subsequent projects.
Client feedback is also part of quality management. A comment, additional requirement or complaint is associated with the exact order and version, analysed and followed through to closure. Useful decisions can be incorporated into client terminology, standing instructions, templates or internal checks. This creates continuity across repeat and multilingual projects without allowing individual preferences to disappear between separate orders.
The system is maintained and improved by reviewing results, nonconformities, feedback and the performance of participating specialists. La Fit Trans’s current certified conformity is to ISO 17100:2015-05+Amd1:2017-08; the certificate was issued on 10 June 2025, is valid until 23 May 2031 and is published on the home page. For the client, this means an organised service with clear accountability, traceable decisions and control that extends beyond a single check of the text.
